My family is Jewish. When we were kids, Dad owned his own taxicab. After moving to Miami, he drove a cab until becoming a car salesman at the Lincoln Mercury dealer. He was so good at it the Prudential manager got word of it and recruited him into the life insurance business which changed our lives forever. He was a good salesman.
Like so many Jewish children in our country, growing up in the surrounding Christian culture, we asked who Jesus was. He told us about Buddha, Moses, and Mohammed. Then he said Jesus was a prophet like they were, with one big difference:
“He had twelve good salesmen!”
