Imagine

I do business in the Orlando area and one of my favorite things is to poke around Park Ave. near Rollins College in Winter Park. At least you can get a good cup of coffee there. One day Martha and I are walking down the street. At the door of a storefront on a corner is this poster on an easel. Yoko Ono was carrying John’s personal artwork around the country and having benefit art shows to sell his art to benefit of women’s shelters and other charitable groups. I could not afford any of John Lennon ‘s artwork. But as I was walking out I asked the young folks sitting at the door what they were going to do with this unique poster when the show was over. They didn’t know. I took a $50 bill out of my pocket with my business card and said I’m going to trust you to go to Office Depot and buy a cardboard tube and mail it to me and the rest is a donation for the women’s shelter. They did. I value this unique poster as much as some of the artwork I own by actual artists.
